This vacation apartment is located about 2 km from the characteristic village Dwingeloo with all its amenities. In this cozy village it is wonderful to relax on the many terraces and there are several nice restaurants and eateries. Dwingeloo is very popular with tourists because of its protected village center, which has recently been restored, and the presence of many tourist attractions in the vicinity.
Near Dwingeloo are the National Parks “Het Dwingelderveld” in which the cottage is located and “Het Drents Friese Wold”. In these beautiful natural areas you can make the most beautiful walks and bike rides. Also mountain biking, over the heath, is very worthwhile, just as exploring the surrounding forests by horse.

The lovely village of Diever is also worth a visit. On summer evenings, plays by Shakespeare are performed in the open-air theater in the middle of the woods.
Do you like to play golf? For golf lovers there is an A-status 18 hole golf course in Havelte. At a short distance you have the National Park Weerribben with Giethoorn this gives you again and entirely different kind of landscape with all its possibilities for water recreation

For children there is, except the very nearby swimming pool, plenty to do in the area including Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen, Schaapskooi Ruinen and Dwingeloo, Museum Village Orvelte, Pony Park Slagharen, Amusement Park Duinen Zathe Appelscha with former traffic park of Assen, Play and ice farm the Drenthe cow Ruinerwold, it is especially for the little ones very nice.
